DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION on data processing related to events and newsletter subscriptions

1. PURPOSE OF THE INFORMATION

The purpose of this information is to provide information about the data protection and data processing principles applied by Luminis Kft. in relation to event organization and newsletter distribution.

Luminis Kft. (hereinafter: Data Controller) processes the personal data of those who register for events and those who participate in them, as well as those who subscribe to the newsletter, in connection with the operation of the website www.luminis.hu (hereinafter: website), the organization of events, and newsletter subscriptions.

4. LEGAL BASIS, PURPOSE AND METHOD OF DATA PROCESSING

Event organization and newsletter distribution

4.1. Data processing is based on your voluntary, informed consent, which includes your express consent to the use of your personal data provided during event registration and newsletter subscription.

The legal basis for data processing (name, email address) is the voluntary consent of the data subject, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation). You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to luca.bokori@luminis.hu.

Data processing is carried out with the voluntary consent of users registering on the luminis.hu website, in accordance with Section 6(1)(a) of the Avtv. Registration and newsletter subscription include filling out the identification form and accepting this privacy statement. The user gives their consent by registering.

4.2. The purpose of data processing is to organize exhibitions, workshops, and lectures related to the Data Controller’s activities, as well as to send newsletters related to its activities. Sending reminders and detailed programs about events to registered users, including follow-up activities related to the events. Follow-up on events takes the form of an email inquiry, to which responding is voluntary. The Data Controller uses the data you provide for a specific purpose, exclusively for the implementation of a given event and for sending newsletters.

4.3. The data controller shall not use or may not use the personal data provided for purposes other than those described in section 4.2. The disclosure of your personal data to third parties is only possible with your prior, express consent, unless otherwise required by law.

4.4. The Data Controller does not verify the personal data provided to it. The person providing the data is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided. By providing your email address, you also assume responsibility for ensuring that only you use the service from the email address provided. In view of this responsibility, any liability arising from logins made from a given email address shall be borne solely by you, as the data subject who registered the email address.

5. DURATION OF DATA PROCESSING

The personal data you provide will be processed in connection with the event until the professional evaluation following the event is completed, and in the case of the newsletter, the personal data will be processed until you unsubscribe from the newsletter as specified in Section 8.

6. PERSONS WITH ACCESS TO THE DATA, DATA TRANSFER, DATA PROCESSING

The data may primarily be accessed by the Data Controller and those internal employees of the Data Controller whose job duties involve accessing and processing the data. If, for organizational reasons, data is transferred to a third party in connection with an event, the Data Controller will inform you separately.

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND ENFORCEMENT OPTIONS

7.1. You have the right to request information about your personal data processed by the Data Controller at any time, and you may modify such data at any time by sending an email request to the contact address specified in Section 7.3.

7.2. At your request, the Data Controller shall provide you with information about the data it processes concerning you, the data processed by it or by a data processor commissioned by it, the source of the data, the purpose of the data processing, the legal basis, the duration, as well as the name and address of the data processor and its activities related to data processing, the circumstances and effects of the data protection incident and the measures taken to remedy it, and, in the case of data transfer, the legal basis and recipient of the data transfer, within one month of the submission of the request.

The Data Controller shall keep a record for the purpose of monitoring the measures taken in relation to the data protection incident and informing you, which shall include the scope of the personal data concerned, the scope and number of persons affected by the data protection incident, the date, circumstances, and effects of the incident, the measures taken to remedy it, and other data specified in the legislation governing data processing.

If you have any questions or comments regarding data processing, you may contact the Data Controller’s data protection officer at the contact details provided in this section.

7.4. You have the right to request the correction or deletion of your incorrectly recorded data at any time. The Data Controller will correct or delete the data within one month of receiving the request sent to the email address luca.bokori@luminis.hu.

If the Data Controller does not comply with the Data Subject’s request for correction or deletion, it shall communicate the factual and legal reasons for the refusal in writing within one month of receipt of the request.

The Data Subject may object to the processing of his or her personal data. The Data Controller shall examine the objection within the shortest possible time after the submission of the request, but no later than one month, make a decision and inform the applicant in writing of its decision.

7.5. The Data Subject may lodge a complaint with the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (1125 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/c.; www.naih.hu).

7.6. If you have provided third party data in order to use the service, the Data Controller is entitled to claim compensation from you. In such cases, the Data Controller shall provide all possible assistance to the authorities in order to identify the person who has committed the infringement.

8. UNSUBSCRIBING

In the case of newsletters, the Data Controller will process the data you provided when subscribing to the newsletter until you unsubscribe from the list of subscribers by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, the Data Controller will no longer send you newsletters. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time free of charge and withdraw your consent.

9. OTHER PROVISIONS

9.1. In all cases where the Data Controller wishes to use the data provided for a purpose other than the original purpose of data collection, it shall inform you thereof and obtain your prior express consent, or provide you with the opportunity to prohibit such use.

9.2. The Data Controller undertakes to ensure the security of the data, to take the technical measures necessary to ensure that the data collected, stored and processed are protected, and to do everything in its power to prevent their destruction, unauthorized use and unauthorized alteration. It also undertakes to require any third parties to whom it may transfer or disclose the data to comply with these obligations.

9.3. The Data Controller reserves the right to unilaterally modify the rules and information relating to data processing by posting a notice on its website.
